SBDC-BIHD
The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Binational Institute of Human Development (BIHD) in the Douglas Park area is a new initiative funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Binational Institute of Human Development. The SBDC-BIHD provides one-on-one expert and confidential business advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and established small businesses.
Our main objective is to help foster small businesses and create jobs by providing educational resources, training, guidance, coaching and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs, especially in the immigrant community regardless of their immigration status.

Foster economic development in the immigrant community, particularly in areas densely populated by Latinos, within the state of Illinois;
Promote the creation of networks that connect micro and small businesses with clients, venture capital, and other opportunities;
Provide tailor-made solutions for entrepreneurs, or potential entrepreneurs, to create, open and grow their businesses.

The Binational Institute for Human Development (BIHD), a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower and integrate immigrant communities and other communities susceptible to the prevailing society, serving as a bridge between government agencies, companies, civil organizations and our communities , through advocacy, equality in education, healthcare and, above all, equality in human rights and economic development.
